Successful Seasurface.com Web Site Migration
Despite our best endeavours we were unsuccessful in getting our previous Internet Service Provider (ISP), Netspeed Pty Ltd, to resolve their technical issues that caused our web site to be unavailable recently. So as previously advised we changed to another company, Velocity Internet, on 4 Feb and our service was back to normal operation in less that 4 hours.
By all reports users are happy with our new service and many have also reported faster downloading.
Once again please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. If you were a current subscriber then you would have had your expiry date extended a total of 14 days.
Invitation to Grand Opening Weekend in Melbourne
New World Honda Marine and Seasurface.com invite all users to the Grand Opening of their new outlet at Unit 1, 97 Monash Drive, Dandenong South/Lymdhurst on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22 February 2009.
A whole range of suppliers and manufacturers will be in attendance, giving you the opportunity to meet them face to face and learn about any new products or quiz them about your existing products. All stock will be offered with big discounts. Seasurface.com also will be in attendance to answer your questions on our service.
There will be two presentations daily (11am and 3pm) from:
** John Payne from Seasurface.com - demonstrating the features and benefits of subscribing to the sea surface temperature and sea colour charts on our web site www.seasurface.com;
** Australia's well known fishing journalist and filmaker (Strikezone) Alistair McGlashan who will present on how to catch the serious fish;
** Dave Silver from Navico Electronics who will present on the electronics in your boat, depth sounders, fish finders etc; and
** Master Chef, Bart Beek, will present two sessions (Sunday only) on some exciting ways to cook your catch.
Finally everyone attending has the chance to win a very special door prize. There is no need to RSVP just turn up on either day to see some exciting new equipment and services. For the kids there will be a Jumping Castle and Mr Whippy as well.
2009 Riviera NSW Interclub Tournament - Port Stephens
Again this year Seasurface.com is one of the many participating sponsors of the 2009 Riviera NSW Interclub Tournament. Our Managing Director, John Payne, will be in attendance in the Trade Show marquee near the weigh station on Tuesday 24th February from 12noon to 4:30pm. He will as usual have our direct wireless broadband connection working, so come along and ask any questions you like and learn how to get the most out of our service. If you've renewed your subscription by then and registered for the tournament, come and say hello. Bring along the voucher out of your boat satchel and get a free 1 month extension to your subscription. Or, if you'd like you can renew on the day.
Although as we always recommend to our users, it's a good idea to renew well in advance that you can get familiar with what is happening out there on the water before the heat of the tournament is on!
Special BlueWater Boats & Sportfishing Magazine Subscription Offer
We are pleased to announce that in inconjunction with BlueWater Boats & Sportfishing magazine that anyone subscribing to this magazine or renewing an existing subscription as from 23rd Feb will receive, in addition to the free DVD set and lure kit, a specially numbered coupon which will entitle them to 3 separate full accesses to www.seasurface.com (each lasting 18 hours) at any time until March 2010 (valued at $45).
If you are an existing subscriber to www.seasurface.com then you can pass this coupon onto one of your friends to trial our service. At the end of the 3 uses they can take out a full subscription at a special price.
New Developments
We are constantly looking at new services to bring our subscribers and our technical guys are now looking at how we can add sea currents to the data sets that you can access.
We expect to have something new to announce in the next 2 months so keep an eye on the newsletters.
